Cost & Permits
What it costs and what you need.
How much does a new fence cost?
It depends on the material, length, and height. Chain link is the most affordable, wood sits in the middle, and vinyl, aluminum, and ornamental run higher. We give free, itemized quotes so you know the real number before any work begins — no surprises.
Do I need a permit to install a fence in Suffolk County?
Often, yes. Many Suffolk towns require a permit, and the rules vary by town and by fence height. We’ll tell you exactly what your town requires and can help you handle the paperwork.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes — every estimate is free, on-site, and carries no obligation to hire us.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every installation is backed by our workmanship warranty in writing, and many of the materials we install carry their own manufacturer warranties as well.
Choosing a Material
Which fence is right for you?
What’s the most low-maintenance fence?
What’s the best fence for privacy?
Solid vinyl privacy panels or a wood stockade fence are the top choices. Both give you a full 6-foot screen — vinyl for low maintenance, wood for a natural look and lower upfront cost.
What’s the cheapest fence option?
Chain link is the most budget-friendly, especially for security and pet areas. Vinyl-coated black chain link is a popular step up that looks much cleaner for a small added cost.
What fence is best around a pool?
Aluminum and vinyl are the favorites because they meet NY pool-barrier code and resist moisture. We install code-compliant pool fencing with self-closing, self-latching gates so you pass inspection.
Does a wood fence need maintenance?
Some — a stain or sealer every few years keeps wood looking its best and protects against moisture and UV. Vinyl and aluminum need almost none. We’ll explain the trade-offs before you choose.
